Departments


  • Children's

    Church is good for children. At HOG the children department's task is to continue to make this evident to the parents and the children alike, by creating programs and having a curriculum that is exciting and involving for the children, while teaching them the bible and laying a strong foundation for their christain walk with God.

  • Counseling (Pastoral)

    The counseling department within HOG is handled by the pastor's office. It deals with the assistance in the resolution of personal difficulties, and giving advice as to a decision or course of action - all based on bible-based principles.

  • Finance

    Finance department is responsible for counting monetary proceeds from church services. These proceeds include tithes, offering, building fund, and pledges. The Finance department also prepares an income report of all such proceeds for the pastor.

  • Foundations/Follow-up

    Deals with keeping up with members and guests to the Church. The department keeps up with the people who have been absent for one reason or another, or are young members that still assimilating into the church. The foundations aspect deals with new converts in the church who need to be brought up and catered to as the begin their walk with Christ.

  • Hospitality

    The hospitality department consists of church facility upkeep and culinary services. Church upkeep includes keeping the sanctuary, offices, rooms, bathrooms, etc. clean. Culinary services include managing and/or catering food menus for guest ministers during church events and catering for other pre-selected occasions.

  • Information

    The information department is responsible for creating, gathering and managing informational content pertaining to HOG. This information is made available to the church. The department may also assist other departments in coming up with communication content as the case may be.

  • Music

    Serves as the main channel for everything related to music within the church. The department is responsible for growing the music ministry of HOG so that it can be an effective force when it comes to offering praise, worship, and special song renditions. Part of the vision of the music department is to be an example to the congregation of what effective worship is.

  • Sunday School

    The Sunday school department is made up of deacons and/or ministers who are responsible for preparing and teaching biblical content to sunday school members based on the preset curriculum and text provided by RCCG North America. Sunday school gives the member an added avenue for learning more about the bible since the sermon time alloted in regular worship service cannot always be sufficient to build up the christian.

  • Protocol

    Members of this department serve as the personal staff or assistants of the Pastor. They also uphold the "codes of conduct" that are put in place for catering to pastoral visitors and guest ministers, and are responsible for the logistics of pastoral movements.

  • Prayer

    The prayer department is responsible for keeping the "fire on the alter" burning in the church, and standing in the gap for congregation. The prayer department will conduct and participate in prayers of intercession, adoration, thanksgiving, forgiveness, and petition, lifting up the church and the individual members.

  • Technical

    The Technical department is responsible for managing the sound, multimedia, and audio/visual needs and capabilities of House of Glory. The department's tasks also include creating and maintaining an inventory of CDs, DVDs,and all related hardware and software components.

  • Ushering

    Ushers in HOG are responsible for escorting visitors from the foyer into their seats in the church. They are also on hand to direct and guide audience members in case of any procedures that may need to be organized in a safe and efficient manner such as prophetic ministrations and laying of hands.

  • Workers-In-Training

    The worker cadre is part of the hierarchy of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. It is the first step in the hierarchy. Workers-In-Training is an in-house course that prepares members with indicated interest to become church workers. The training teaches them the requirements and the roles and responsibilities of a worker.
