What To Expect

If you are coming newly, that’s okay. We were all new to HOG at some point! We try to make our Sunday services to be fun and welcoming for members and new visitors.

What does a Sunday Service look like?

We begin Sunday service with singing songs of praise and worship led by the “Glory Voices”, House of Glory’s praise band. It is followed by a short welcome address by Pastor Funmi, which also includes announcements. We learn about the Project Haggai and get the opportunity to give according to our ability, listen to a special ministration by “Glory Voices” which ushers in the Pastors Bible message.

Attire: Generally business casual to casual attire
Style of Worship: Contemporary Christian, Gospel, African high praise

Occasionally we may have one or more special addresses and/or testimonies to lift up spirits.

What happens immediately after service?

Services generally last for about 2 hours (except on first Sundays of the month when we have Thanksgiving service – 2 ½ hours). After service, members tend to mix and mingle, some other members have meetings to attend. Occasionally some members may bring food and/or snacks to share with the people.

New visitors are engaged by an usher(s) learn some more about the church, and get the opportunity to meet with Pastor, who loves to personally welcome visitors.

How are the children engaged?

We have a growing children department with teachers who are committed to teaching children to grow up and become good Christians and responsible members of the society. Learn more about the different age groups.

Will I feel by myself or lost?

House of Glory has trained ushers and greeters that are always available to guide and provide support during the Sunday service. Feel free to ask them for assistance as needed, or questions you need answered. They are available to help and very happy to fulfill this service.
